When visiting Vegas, you certainly can't miss the Bellagio Hotel with its famous fountains just outside. These fountains boast a water ballet of choreographed fountains sprang into the air in time with classical music. The sidewalk is always crowded with visitors bleating to see this show, however there is much more to do the logical than just the water fountains.
This luxury hotel opened in 1998 to much fanfare and boasts the 10 acre lake which houses the fountains as well as a salon including a 65,000 square-foot spa and 20 different restaurants. It is the home to the famous Cirque du Soleil's O show and is a tourist attraction in itself with its Roman motif in luxury as interior.
The first thing you see when you enter the Bellagio Hotel is its awe-inspiring lobby which boasts a ceiling full of 2000 hand blown glass flowers each one a work of art. To the side you can see a beautiful Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and Conservatory which houses exotic plants that come from all over the world. The gardens are said to be on par with those you might find in London and New York.
Another wonderful place you want to visit inside the Bellagio is their fine arts Gallery that holds works by some of the worlds most famous artists including van Gogh, Picasso and Monet. While it might not be the largest art gallery you've ever been in, it does include dozens of impressive works and also has an audio tour for your convenience.
Of course, in the center of the Bellagio hotel is the casino. The hotel is built so that you have to pass through their to get pretty much anywhere and us, be tempted to throw a quarter in the slot machine or maybe even sit down at the poker table in the anti-up $5,000 a hand.
While the Bellagio is certainly a wonderful place to stay on your Las Vegas strip, it is not one of the cheapest. Rooms might cost you $250 a night, but the experience of staying in this hotel is hard to beat. The ambience is great and the Italian provincial decorated rooms will make you feel like royalty. If you want to feel pampered, take a trip to the spa with its walls of water and avail yourself of any one of a variety of treatments.
