If you visit Las Vegas, Fremont Street is something you've got to see. This is actually the main street in Vegas, the old strip that originally started it all and it has been updated with a permanent $70 million canopy that boasts over 2 million lights and a state-of-the-art sound system. In fact, Fremont Street has more neon lights than any other place this side of Hong Kong.
Anyone who visits Fremont Street will agree that there is a lot to take in. In the canopy 90 feet overhead 12.5 million LED lights produce a gazillion color combinations including animation and video. One second you might see a kaleidoscope of colors the next a TV broadcast. It's enough to make your eyes bulge on overload.
Videos are also projected onto the canopy, some lasting several minutes. You might see a psychedelic happening or earthlings battling aliens. The video showing the view of the Earth from outer space can be quite interesting for some wall another video showing some of Vegas's most beautiful women might be more interesting to others.
But the canopy isn't the only thing to see on Fremont Street, of course there's casinos, shops and places to eat to. You'll find everything from freestanding kiosks to indoor shops. You can even grab a Krispy Kreme doughnut and eat it at an outdoor patio while you people watch.
To be sure, visiting Fremont Street is a must for any Las Vegas traveler.
