Visiting The Stratosphere Tower Hotel
The Stratosphere Tower Hotel is one of the most visited hotels in Las Vegas although it is neither the biggest hotel you're the one with the largest casino. However, what it does have is a 1149 foot tall tower which can be seen throughout the strip.
The Stratosphere Tower is quite a place to visit, although if you're afraid of heights you might not enjoy it so much. It has outdoor as well as indoor observation decks, a revolving restaurant and lounge and, of course, the best view in Vegas. The 100 story structure is built so that the Windows angle down at the bottom so you can look down right to the ground.
But people don't just come here for the food and the scenery, the Stratosphere Tower Hotel is also home to several thrill rides which enjoyed immense popularity. One of these rides, the Big Shot, is the highest ride in the world at 1100 feet tall. Another one had called The Insanity is only 900 feet tall but it makes up for it's short stature by spinning it's riders at 40MPh! The X-Scream is the least tall and 866 feet but seeing as it drops the writers over the edge, it may be the most thrilling ride of all.
If you've come here to get married, you might want to take your vows in the Chapel in the Clouds which will make for a beautiful wedding which has a little bit of uniqueness, something not out of the ordinary for Vegas.
You can also find good entertainment at the Stratosphere. 'The Bite' is an adult review with the vampire theme that is right at home in Las Vegas. If you prefer something a little lighter you can see the American Superstar show we are celebrity look-alikes will entertain you for their chance at stardom
The Stratosphere Tower Hotel is at the very northern end of the casinos and is actually the only one that is in the city of Las Vegas since the others are technically in a suburb of Las Vegas called Paradise. While this location might seem like a disadvantage, it is actually prove to be advantageous as it is located between the strip and downtown making it a great stop for people going between Fremont Street and the Las Vegas strip. It has over 2000 rooms and 80,000 square feet of casino making it one of the smaller casinos but the rooms are inexpensive and there is plenty in the casino to keep you busy if you don't spend all your time on the rides!
